Nerves
My momma is worrin my nerves about all this graduation stuff. If I have to hear, "Go get ur nails done" "Wear different colored shoes" "Make sure you take pictures beforehand". I swear this is her graduation. FOr all those who know me know I DON'T GET MY NAILS DONE. I'm too cheap for that shit and I'd rather do them myself. Going to get my nails and toes done seems soooooo girly to me. I hate being overtly girly. I cried the day my mommy forced me to wear makeup when I was 16. I don't know what I'm gonna do if I have an extra girly daughter. Lord so help me.

Numb? Or Just Over it?
Well bestest txted me yesterday and said that he's fallen in love and its official. How did I take the news? I was completely numb to it. I don't know why but I don't care anymore. Should I be sad? crying? sobbing in my pillow at night? He thinks I'm hiding my feelings to be a "good friend" but Im not. Even my sister realized it this morning. I have completely given up mentally and emotionally on bestest and I being together. Am I sad? Nope. Mad? Nope. Then what? Just numb and don't care. I wish him all the best though.
My brain had left feelings for him on the curb a longggggggg time ago but my heart kept holding on. But after I got that txt msg yesterday it finally let go all together. For some reason last night he kept wanting to say that my feelings for him were never "really" there if I feel this way but thats untrue. I think he wants to deny the feelings I've had for him just so he can convince himself he made the "right" decision and didn't push away the woman that truly loved him for who he really is.
A woman that would drive 20 minutes to give him medicine just so he could feel better. A woman who dealt with his asshole attitudes even though she didnt deserve them cause she knew he was just venting. A woman who would be by his side whenever he called and said, "I need to see you". A woman who he could confide in with all his hopes, dreams, passions, and past experiences without fear of judgement. A woman who felt confident in her own hopes & dreams that he could feel confident in his. A woman who showed him that being confident in who you are isn't based on what others think of you. A woman who loves being as weird and standing out from all the rest just as much as he does.
As a woman I can only deal with a man who cant seem to see whats right in front of him for so long until she pushes him out of her life. And without any pushing from me he's moved on. So now I can too. I've put my feelings back into the box to which they are accustomed to being in, locked it, and put it back on the dusty shelf but still keep the key next to it but I hope that I will find a different key that will open that locked box again.
So now that I got my bestest friend back will his girl like me? Knowing what went down between us? Well if she doesn't too bad for her cause she is just gonna have to get used to the idea that I'm always gonna be there for him whenever he needs me cause I know he would do the same for me.
Maybe I'll let him read this. Maybe I wont. But whatever I decide will be whats best for him & I.

Good Day
Today I didnt go to work on account that I had to finish a major senior project which i due tomorrow which I STILL HAVENT finished. I swear I must have Adult A.D.D or something. I went to Physics class and turned in my report there then Erica came to my place so we could go to BestBuy so I could help her shop for a laptop. She found one she liked but she is still up in the air on whether to spend that much money on one. People always give their children a laptop before they start college but I never had one. Neither Erica, Dede, nor I NEEDED a laptop for college. Sure at times it would be a better convince to have one but we would just use the computers in the dorm or walk to the computer lab to do our work. But since we all will be going to graduate school next year I know I cant survive it without a laptop. After Erica and I left BestBuy we picked Dede up from work and headed to look at the house Dede I applying to rent. Its tiny but for what we will be paying to rent it its worth it. After we showed Erica the house (which she loved) we went to Shoppers. Which is grocery store. While there I discovered this: And This.... I guess the corporate world has to show "us" where our beauty products are. lol.

Brunch anyone?
This weekend was fun. Except for the non stop raining today. Yesterday the girls and I got my car washed, went to the mall, got dinner and dessert in Bethesda, made our way to Georgetown to check out some sneakers and guys and then headed to Adams Morgan. We didnt get to take alot of pictures because my I cant find my camera charger. I believe its at work. Anyway. Last night while in Adams Morgan we met up with one of Charlene's guy friend Lee. He's cool and his homeboy Stefan is also cool but that other nigga they was with, we nicknamed him Pac Man. The entire night each of us was trying to stay as far away from him as possible. We were shootin pool in Adams Morgan and everytime I moved he seemed to follow. No matter what I did. Hence the nickname Pac Man. He even had the nerve to try and grab Erica's ass. This guy had no sense of personal space. He would try and speak real low so that you couldnt hear him thus you saying, "What? I didnt hear you" and then he moves even closer to you to the point that you feel as if he was trying to move in for the kill. My word of advice to Charlene's boy Lee. Drop the wack, creeper, raper-looking friend immediately! After we finished playing pool around 3 AM we were walking back to the car when Erica and I noticed that there was a basketball court that had a miniture rim and we wanted to hang from it. Lee starts talking stuff about we dont know how to really ball and proceeds to go to the car get a basketball to "try" and school us. Even though Erica was rockin heels, Charlene in a sundress & heels, Dede in jeans, and I in a mini skirt and chucks these guys had nothin on us. We killed em. Even stole the ball from Lee twice. lol. After we kicked their ass we went home. I didnt get home until 4:00 this morning but it was tooooo much fun. We were suppose to go to get Brunch today but decided to make our own. Charlene came over and we cooked up some pancakes, potatoes, fresh strawberries, turkey bacon, veggie bacon and some orange slices.

Giant
So I was checking my hotmail today and ran across this article that was in the "Today" Section. Its about dating when your a tall female. I was never aware of my height until I moved up north. In the south I'm not considered tall by any means. I grew up wanting to be 6 feet. Being here in DC there is something in the water. A woman being 5'7 is the tallest of the tall and a guy being 5'9 is considered a giant. Lol. Well Im 5'9 and LOVE it.
Too tall to date? By Elizabeth Roehrig
There I was, sitting at the bar, enjoying some thank-God-it’s-the-end-of-the-week drinks with a friend, when we noticed a couple of hip and handsome guys sitting next to us. Witty banter ensued between me and the Casey Affleck look-alike and things were looking promising… that is, until we both stood up to pick a few songs from the jukebox. It was the moment of truth, and yep, at almost 5’10”, I was a couple of inches taller than him. I could feel him sizing me up, and our sizzle from a moment ago beginning to fizzle.
If you’re in the “tall girl” club like me, you’ve probably experienced this scenario. And while dating for women like us may have its inherent challenges, they’re not ones that we can’t overcome. Let our stories and advice serve as a little inspiration.
Hurdle #1: Fewer men approach tall women Many of my tall friends, myself included, are very open to dating shorter men—the problem is often that they steer clear of us, thinking that we’re “too tall” given the expectation that guys will loom over their dates. Patricia Barba, 34, of Greenwich, CT, who’s just shy of six feet, had a male co-worker spell out to her why she’s so often left on the sidelines. “We were at our holiday party, and a co-worker who’s around my height asked if I’d like to dance. I said yes and mentioned that not many men ask me to dance, and he said it’s because men must find my height imposing. That was hard to hear!” Other times, men aren’t so straightforward and their preferences come across in the form of a subtler snub. “When I’m out at a bar, I’m the one who talks to all the guys and gets the conversation going,” says Richelle, 27, who’s 6’ and from Boston. “But usually at the end of the evening, the guy I’ve been talking to will say, ‘Who’s your friend?’ And inevitably the girl he’s interested in is one of my shorter pals.”
Unexpected upside: The guys who do hit on us tend to be great catches While being overlooked as dating material due to our height can be frustrating, there is a benefit to this situation as well: The shorter men who do hit on us are worth their salt. “I recently dated a guy who is an inch shorter than me, but his personality and confidence made him seem taller,” says Patricia. “He seemed really self-assured, which put me at ease and made our height difference seem like a non-issue. I think generally that guys who go for taller women are pretty dynamic individuals.” In other words, look at your height as a gatekeeper that only allows the truly worthy shorter men into your inner circle. Mary, 27, from Woodbridge, NJ, is 5’8” and has dated a handful of shorter men, including her current boyfriend. “Since they don’t have the height that a lot of girls look for, these guys develop other, more meaningful qualities, such as kindness, humor, and consideration,” she says… which ultimately makes for a better boyfriend. “While a shorter man might not be my first choice, if he’s much more interested in me and attentive to my needs, who can say no to that?” she asks. Hurdle #2: Few men meet our own height requirements While many tall women are perfectly happy to date shorter guys, some of us, I admit, aren’t always thrilled about it. And as a result, we often limit our own prospects and have no one to blame but ourselves for long dating dry spells. “I would go out all the time and find only one or two guys that I considered prospects because of my ‘height restriction,’” says Sarah, 5’10”, of Reading, MA. “I was only looking for guys 6’1” and over, because it just seems more natural for the man to be taller.” Of course, we know we should give shorter guys a chance, but it’s tough to change your own perception (let alone society’s) that the guy should tower over his gal. “You grow up with this notion that the man should be bigger than the woman so he can protect her,” explains Erin, 26, 6’2”, of Richmond, VA.
Unexpected upside: Tall women learn to recognize what really makes a relationship work While tastes and attraction are hard to change, sooner or later, many tall women are forced to accept a valuable truth that often eludes other daters: That they should jettison the more superficial traits on their “wish list” for a partner—whether that’s being 6’2”, having a full head of hair or possessing six-pack abs. “While I used to believe that a man needed to be taller than me for me to feel safe, I know now that isn’t true,” says Erin, who ultimately fell for a man three inches shorter. “When I first met my now-husband, I thought he was cute, but I never thought we’d end up together due to the height difference. But we had a real connection, and I know now that’s what counts.”
Hurdle #3: Once you’re dating a shorter guy, there’s a whole new host of problems OK, so you’ve gotten over your own “He’s got to be taller than me” hang-up and have hit it off with a guy who’s largely fine with the fact that you’ve got some inches on him. But even then, you’re not in the clear. For starters, walk into a room arm in arm and you’re bound to get some odd looks. “I once dated someone shorter. He said it didn’t matter to him, but people couldn’t help but comment on it and make some pretty embarrassing jokes,” says Richelle. “Once, we were asked if he stood on the curb to kiss me!” To keep the wisecracks to a minimum, many women abandon their heels in favor of flats. But even then, the undue attention can sometimes be unbearable. Unexpected upside: You learn to stop caring what other people think Know that phrase “Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”? That also applies in this scenario: Sooner or later, most tall women who date shorter men develop a Teflon coating. They stop caring if people point at them walking down the street together or if friends and family members make height jokes. They learn that all that really matters is whether you like the guy and whether he likes you. Six-foot-tall Ciana Clarke, 40, of Tallahassee, FL, may have felt awkward when she first began dating her shorter husband, but that soon changed. “His family and friends would tease him about his height rather than mine and say that he was lucky to land me, but he never let their cracks bother him,” she recalls. “He made me feel like a treasure and celebrated my difference more than anything else. I was proud of my height before we met, but his love and acceptance have made me feel more comfortable with our four-inch height difference.” And there’s no reason to relegate your high heels to the back of the closet when you have a self-confident guy in your corner. “My husband is really the one that made me start to embrace my height,” says Erin. “Before I met him I don’t think I owned one pair of heels—now I can’t get enough of them. My man loves me for all that I am, height included!”

Blind Item...well its really not.
Why do you want to get into "heated discussions" with me over nothing. So I delete your number when im mad at you. Its my phone and I can do that. 2:00 in da morning and were really talkin about how that makes you upset and that you would never do that to me. I get your jist and that's not how you would deal with things but that's how I do. If I delete your number and never...I repeat...never return your calls or text msgs then we would have a problem. But even after i've deleted your number I always accept your calls and put it back in. Yes, I think your an asshole to me at times as well as you may think im an asshole to you. The entire situation about us ignoring each others phone calls, texts, and etc was done by both of us. For me it was for the purpose of: 1. Showing you I'm over you despite the truth 2. Being childish and wanting to hurt you. 3. Just fed up with the entire situation with us and not wanting to think about it every time I would hear your voice. 4. Being childish by ignoring you cause you ignored me first.
Your Reasons for ignoring me were more unselfish.
I understand that your trying to keep my feelings from being hurt but im a grown ass woman who doesn't need you looking out for them. I know you do it only cause you care but I can handle it on my own. Your gonna always be my best friend and nothing is ever gonna change that. Even with our 2 AM disagreements. I just dont want to lose my best friend in the process of getting over my first love.

ATL BABY!!!!
I went to ATL last Thursday so I could see my Mommy run the IMG Half Marathon. (Pictures coming soon). Since Dede (my sister) and I were going to ATL and was gonna be staying with my Aunt & Uncle my cousin Shea decided to come too from New York. Shes in Fashion Merchandising school and was currently on her Spring Break. So then my cousin Clare which is Shea's younger sister decided to join in the fun to and leave Mississippi for her hometown ATL for the weekend also. Clare brung her boyfriend Patrick and friend Toya along. Which is the first time her parents would be meeting him...including her protective homeboys. Does any of that make sense? If not just scroll down and check the pics of the night we rocked til 3:00 AM playing ROCKBAND on XBOX 360. If you havent played you must.

Shopaholic
I dont love shopping. I'm IN LOVE with shopping. lol. I shouldnt be shopping anyway. But since I have some important dates coming up....Graduation, Concerts, and ETC. I like to rock new shit. lol. I should be studying for my Physics Test tomorrow but right now I am too involved with what and want and what I need. Here are a few items that I WILL be coping within the next two weeks.
I cant decide on which bag to get. Lord knows everyone is tired of my Puma bag so I need a upgrade. Right? The one on the top is $330 and its on sale and the one on the bottom is $425. I still have to see if I can find an authenticate L.A.M.B bag on Ebay. So until I do these are my only options. They are both at Nordstrom but If I go to Bloomingdales I can get either one there and use my graciously given credit card.
Okie. I know their the same shirt but different colors but I cant decide which one to get. If there was a pink one I would pick it but there isnt. Well the shirt is $29.99 on sale at Abercrombie.
I need some medium length jean shorts. I tried on a pair similar at Abercrombie and they had me suffering from "nosatol" = "No Ass At All" lol. So hopefully when I go to Hollister and try these on I wont look too much like a white girl from behind. lol. Oh. Their $39.50. Now I gotta have my Shoes. The converse I need cause I got major outfits that will look great with them. And since their $42.00 with free shipping from Zappos.com they are definitely mine. The gorgeous sandals are also a must. I can rock them to church, down da street, to da club, shopping, and awhole rack of other places. They are from Guess.com and are $110. (The heels are BROWN.....in the picture they look BlACK)
Last but not least I gotta get this shirt from American Apparel. I love their stuff. Its $15.
So I reckon my total for next week without the purse cause that will surely be put on credit should be about $250. Thats not too bad since all the pieces I can mix and match with other things that I already have. After next week's purchases no more shopping!!oh. snap i still have to shop for 2 dresses for graduation weekend. I will be rocking those brown heels with one of those outfits and my die for purple Report Signature pumps........See Im already trying to buy more stuff. lol.
